Early Lease Termination Letter

By | June 26, 2014

In certain cases of lease and rent, the lease agreement may terminate prior to its due date, in such cases one of the parties can write an early lease termination letter to inform about the same to the other party. These letters are meant to explain the reason for early lease termination and must be framed using a formal tone.

Sample Early Lease Termination Letter:

Greg Raymond

H-56, Redding road, Berkeley town

Date: 19th March 2014

Subject: early lease termination letter

Respected Mr. Raymond

I, Tim brooks, the LESSOR of the agreement number-AB/7909/799 that was framed between us, am writing this letter to you, the LESSEE to inform you that the lease has been terminated before its due date. We had entered into the lease agreement on 1st Jan 2013 and its set termination date was 1st Jan 2015, but due to nonpayment of lease for the last 4 months, the lease is discontinued prematurely.

Even after constant reminders, I had failed to receive any payment from you for the leased residential property located at 3-5, Jack tower, London.  As per the original terms of the lease agreement, the lease could be terminated by the LESSOR if he didn’t receive payment for over a period of 3 months.  I request you to kindly vacate the property within a period of 2 weeks, to avoid legal intervention. I wish to inform you that I am not willing to accept any payment from you now and need you to terminate the agreement formally by signing the enclosed termination agreement.

Tim Brooks.
