Contract Termination Letter

By | June 22, 2013

Terminating contracts is a normal event in a business’ life even though it may seem more complicated than termination of employment. In order to make sure that everything will go smoothly, it might be important to write a contract termination letter in which you inform the contractor or vendor that their services are no longer needed and maybe even give an explanation of your decision.

Dear (name of receiver),

I am writing this letter to confirm that starting with (date) our company will no longer require the services of (company name). Our company has been pleased with your prior services and we are grateful for the good business relationship that we had. It is our goal to part in good terms. However, our company has decided to use another company that can serve us sooner in each morning.

The contract agreement of your company with the (company name) expires on (date). The aim of this letter is to let you know that we do not wish to renew our contract. This notice is outside the standard notice period that is included in the contract. Please feel free to contact the company for any additional information regarding the contract termination letter. Our company would be more than happy to offer you reference for future business contracts.

Again, thank you for your high quality services and we wish you all the best in the future.

Best regards,
