Sub – mortgage hardship letter for short sale

Dear Mr. Stanley,

This is to bring to your notice that I have a mortgage on my house with your bank. Although I have been paying my mortgage every month, for the past three years, it now seems that it will be difficult for me to make the payment.

I have small dairy farm of my own, but in the current economic situation, it is becoming exceedingly difficult to make salary payments to my staff, let alone the mortgage. I would request you to arrange a short sale of my house so that the mortgage amounts can be realised.

On top of that I have two teenage daughters, who are in high school and would very soon go to college. I am at my wit’s end as to how I am going to make arrangements for their college tuition fees. If I can realise the mortgage amount through the short sale, I can be at peace.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Thanking you,

Rebecca Bilson,
