All managers love their jobs, but there might be some circumstances that force them to resign, such as unfavorable personal circumstances. The resignation letter should be formal, professional and concise and it should offer information regarding the current situation. You should state your objectives and circumstances clearly. Dear (name of supervisor),

I would like to express my gratitude for allowing me to work part-time at the company for the past 5 months since I had my accident. This arrangement made it possible for me to attend medical checkups and physiotherapies in the past period.

Nonetheless, my doctors advised me to reconsider my situation because if I worked less and I had more time for rest, my wounds heal a lot faster. For this reason I will not be able to work as (position name) for the company in the future.

As a result I am presenting my resignation letter to the company, so that I will be able to make a full recovery. It is my desire for the resignation to become effective as soon as possible for me to be able to attend more physiotherapies to make a full recovery as soon as possible. I would like to ask you to let me know the date when my resignation takes effect.

It has been a great pleasure to be a part of this company and I am presenting my resignation with great regret.

Thank you for your understanding.

Yours sincerely,
