Subject: Board resignation letter

Dear Mr. Chairman,

It is with utmost regret that I am informing you of my resignation from the Board of Directors of Royal Academy of Arts effective immediately. As you may be aware of the offer I received from the Madame Regal Center of Arts in Washington for the post of head curator, I have decided to take up the offer and hence, discontinue my employment here. I will always hold a special place for this museum in my heart.

I have been proud of the work this prestigious institution has done, especially the enriching experience of teaching children about the beauty of art, getting them to appreciate the talent and hard work required to maintain this beautiful museum, its paintings, sculptures and other treasured items. I wish to continue on a similar path and I believe the responsibility of being a board member is enormous and hence I feel it is best for me to make room for someone more qualified while I continue the work I love at Madame Regal Center of Arts.

If I can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me at 5645463.
