Subject: College Reference for Margaret Palmer
Dear Ms. James
My memory of Margaret Palmer goes back to seven years when she had entered my mathematics class wanting to learn higher maths. She was a junior by three years, but had the intelligence and intellectual acumen to perform mathematics way above her years. That was my first memory of her, and the latest being that she is the only student in the last five years, to have got a “A+” grade in her “A” level mathematics examination.
I have known Margaret as a teacher and a supervisor. Her grades are enough to show her abilities in mathematics, but grades alone would not define a person like Margaret. Despite being brilliance, I have never seen so much humility in a person. She takes learning beyond the classroom, and has even taken initiative to form a group of ten students, who visit community schools every weekend to teach the homeless and those who cannot afford higher education. It is such lofty ambition, to “give back to society” that makes Margaret a rare asset.
I would definitely recommend this marvellous achiever to any college. She would not only bring pride to the college, and discipline in her learning, but will surely be able to serve the institute in various other ways.
If you want to know anything more about Margaret, you can drop me a mail or call me personally. But please keep time in hand, for if it is about Margaret, I will probably go on for hours…
