Respected Sir,

I, Anthony Richards, the Computer Troubleshoot expert of this company am writing this letter to you to ask your permission for a long leave from work. I would be very grateful if you could grant me this leave as it is important for me.

Sir, I would need to go on leave from 1st July to 20th July as my wife is expecting a baby and the doctors have said that the baby would be delivered on 2nd July 2014. In this city, we do not have any relatives or friends and thus I would need to be there to take care of my wife after the delivery.  If I attend work during this period, then there would be no one to take care of the baby and my wife. Kindly grant me this leave so that I can start my family with ease and your blessings.

Hope to hear a positive response from you soon,

Thanking you

Anthony Richards
