When a person is either removed from an ongoing internship or when his/her duration for internship gets over, the letter which is used to inform of the termination is known as a termination letter for internship. Any such letter is used to state the reason for termination and must be formally drafted. Given below is a sample of a termination letter for internship.

Subject: termination letter for internship

Dear Mr. David

I, Jack Parker, the Senior HR Manager at Andrews and Bricks Construction Company am writing this letter to you to inform you that you have been terminated from the internship position in the marketing department. I am sorry to break this news to you but from Monday 15th June onwards, you will not be allowed to work here.

It is an intern’s duty to follow instructions of his/her supervisor and this is where you failed majorly. You have proved yourself to be incompetent of taking instructions, completing tasks given to you and being disciplined at the workplace. This company is known for the great workers it has but by letting you work for us for the next 3 months will put our reputation and working order at risk. Even on repeated instructions and warnings, your conduct didn’t quite improve.

I hope that you understand the decision and would reply with a confirmation letter.

Thanking you

Jack Parker
