Subject: Hardship Affidavit Letter

Good day Sir Sam,

I am writing this letter informing you of our current financial situation causing a delay for us to settle our mortgage loan for a couple of months. My husband and I had taken a mortgage loan just the last year of December and I were borrowers. Right now the reason for this hardship is, one of our family member, my mother, passed away last week that’s why we are busy preparing for her burial and we pay the costs of her staying in the hospital for almost a month. Moreover, the company where my husband works is facing a downtime crisis possible for it to close.

It is really a tragic experience and a hard time now for us to settle the interest made in the mortgage loan since we stop paying for it.

I hope you understand the kind of hardship that we are in. It would be a great help if you can help us convince the bank for a loan modification under our name as conjugal. Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

Trisha Ocampo
