Subject: personal injury demand letter

Respected Mr. Chappell

I, Will Smith, worker at Chappell group of manufacturers, am writing this letter to you with the aim of demanding compensation for the injury that was caused to me while working at the factory premises.  I request you to kindly pay for my injuries as I am not covered by health and injury insurance.  On 4th March, my left hand was severely injured when it was stuck between 2 machine parts in the factory.

Sir, I could take help of a legal attorney to sought this matter out but since I have been a dedicated employee of this company for the last 4 years, I request you to compensate me on a one-to-one level.  As the doctors have suggested, my injuries need atleast 2 weeks to heal and till then, I won’t be able to work in the factory. This has caused me a loss of about $500 and this in addition to the $300 for the medical costs; I demand a total compensation of $800. Kindly make the payment at the earliest so that I can pay for my medical bills

Thanking you

Yours sincerely

Will Smith
