A salary requirement cover letter is normally written by the job seeker to his potential employers in order to inform them about his salary expectation from the job. The letter is formally drafted and contains relevant details about the candidate which makes him suitable for the position he is applying to.

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to propose my candidature for the post of software developer at your prestigious organization that was advertised in the local newspaper on 7th May, 2014.

I have a master’s degree in computer science from a renowned university which makes me a potential candidate for the position. Moreover my academic records are excellent and I have been a consistent performer throughout.  My past experience within the industry has taught me the skills behind successful software development projects.

I am a smart working, optimistic and passionate developer who uses his wits along with the experience and theoretical knowledge learned in classrooms to accomplish good results. As mentioned in the advertisement and based on my research, I have discovered that the ideal acceptable pay for the position would lie between the range of $40,000 to $45,000. This annual compensation does not include other supplement benefits. However my requirements are flexible and can vary depending upon the opportunity and other benefits.
