An event planner cover letter is an application which is written by a person who wishes to apply for the post of an event planner in an event planning or management company. These cover letters must be sent across with resume and should be able to give the brief of the candidate’s skills and qualifications.

I, Parker Mathews am writing this letter to apply for the position of an event planner at your prestigious event planning company. I came to know about the vacant job position through the advertisement published in the London Times Newspaper dated 1st April, 2014. I believe that my experience, skills and education will help me perform well at this job, if given an opportunity.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in management studies from Birmingham University in the year 2008, after which I pursued a short term event planning diploma course from London. Prior to that, I worked as an event planner intern at Josh Event Management Company for 6 months and learnt the technicalities of hosting and planning big events. I have also worked as an event manager and planner at 2 other respectable event planning companies in London and this has given me the confidence of doing well at your firm.
