I, Greg Anderson am writing this letter to you to congratulate you for getting the volunteer-ship at our annual marathon. You had applied for this volunteer opportunity and we were impressed by your resume and cover letter.  On the basis of your application, we are granting you this opportunity.

The marathon is scheduled to happen on 18th September and its preparation work shall begin one month in advance which is on 18th August 2014.  The preparation will focus on your training and will help us organize the marathon.  You will be put into a category of work depending upon your skills and qualifications.  The preparation work will last for 3 hours every day between 6 am and 9 am. You are requested to report on time on the first day.

I request you to bring along your passport size photo and your resume with you so that we can formally register you in our program.  Don’t be late because the training will start right on time.
