Lease Cancellation Letter

The lease cancellation letter is a formal letter written by the tenant to his landlord or vice versa in order to cancel the lease contract. Such letters are normally written when the tenant wishes to move out or when the landlord is not satisfied with the tenant’s behavior. A sample letter is given below.

Subject: Notification for lease cancellation

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter with the intend to inform you that we will be vacating house No. 112 of Palm Groove apartment on June 6, 2014 to move to our new house in Hudson Villa, London. I had entered in a lease contract with you on 3rd June, 2013 that has its expiry due on 3rd June, 2014 and we will be moving out on 6th June, 2014 so please cancel our lease contract henceforth.

Our new address is 67-H, Hudson Villa, London on which you can forward us the security deposit within the specified time duration. Although we will check the house thoroughly before leaving but please inspect the house for any damage after we leave the premises and report us in case you find any. We will also make it a point to take care of all the utility bill transfers before we leave but in case we miss out any, please feel free to forward them to our new address which is mentioned above.
