Respected Sir,

I, Sarah Mathews am writing this letter in response to the Job Opening advertisement that was published in the Birmingham Times Newspaper on 15th July 2013. The advertisement welcomed applicants for the position of a teacher at your school.  I believe that I am the suitable candidate for the job of an English teacher for the senior secondary classes and am applying for the same by the means of this letter. I would really be obliged to get a job at a prestigious school of the city and assure to perform well at this post.

Sir, I have completed my Graduation in English from Leeds University and then completed a teacher’s training course from London. During the coursework, I was employed as a trainee in St. Xavier’s school for a period of 4 months. I have also taught as a permanent teacher in two reputed schools in Birmingham and have thus gained a lot of experience in this field. I am hardworking, dedicated and have exceptional managerial and communication skills. If hired, I shall give my best and make sure that the reputation of the institute is maintained.
