Subject: Letter to appeal for the claim of travel insurance

Respected Mrs. Jeremiah

My name is Winston Sake and I am writing this letter to appeal for the claim on my travel insurance policy. I took out a travel insurance policy with Heston Co. Ltd on the 1st of July 2013. The policy holds valid for a period of 18 months and covers the damages caused to the person during travel.

I was travelling to Chicago for official purposes and happened to lose one of the bags that I was carrying with me. The bag was lost at Chicago Station where I was waiting for a taxi to take me to the hotel. The bag contained $1000 in cash, my digital camera, an iPad and my clothes. The total estimate loss is around $3000 and I would like to appeal you to reimburse the amount as per the travel insurance policy that I have purchased. I have enclosed a letter with a detailed list of the items lost for your reference.  Along with the list, I am also enclosing copies of my travel insurance documents and ID proofs which might help you further.

I hope that the travel insurance company considers my claim and responds to my appeal as soon as possible. I am eagerly waiting for your positive response and swift action on the matter,

Mr. Winston Sake
