Subject: rejection of appeal to shift examination dates
Dear Mr. Black
I, Henry White, the chief secretary of the examination control department of the London University am writing this letter to inform you that your appeal regarding shifting of examination dates has been rejected. We received your appeal request letter on 20th May, 2013 and it requested shifting of exam dates for the upcoming University exams. The examination control department held a meeting yesterday and decided to reject your request due to lack of enough days to do so.
The examination control department sets a date-sheet for exams with a lot of consideration and debate and the final date-sheet is prepared to suit the needs of everyone. The exams start from next month and all the preparation like printing of the paper, making of the duties sheet and others have started. In such a scenario, it is impossible to shift the dates. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused but if you had written this letter at the time of the announcement of date-sheet, we might have made a few changes.
