Subject: writing an appeal letter to University to look into my semester scores again

Respected Principal Sir,

I, Jonathan Hedley, a student of 2nd year, Philosophy Honors, am writing this letter to the University with the hope that my appeal would be considered and looked into. Sir, I have just received the results of the 4th Semester of my course and am confident that I have been marked significantly less than what I was expecting to score. I have been an above average student in all the last three semesters and even topped the University in the First Semester. But on this occasion, I scored less than the passing marks in 3 out of 5 subjects and this has left me utterly shocked.

I request and appeal the University to kindly look into the matter and send my examination answer sheets for reevaluation. After reevaluation, I would politely accept any decision which the University makes. My entire life and career depends upon these scores and I trust the authorities with my case. I am enclosing a copy of the reevaluation form that I had filled up and sent to the administration office of my College, along with this letter. I am hoping that the University will come to a fair result and conclusion in response to my appeal.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Thanking you.

Yours faithfully,

Jonathan Hedley
