Subject: professional apology letter

Respected Mr. Peters

I, Ralph Lauren am writing this letter to apologize for the logistics mistake from our end. We at Lauren International had a technical error in our logistics branch, due to which there was a problem at your end in receiving the said consignment. According to our records, you received 15 pieces of furniture rather than the 25 scheduled items. We sincerely apologize to you for this mistake and would soon try to dispatch the remaining pieces to your warehouse.

Errors like this are common in an industry where Logistics plays an important role and where there is huge burden on the Logistics department and its officials. But this is no excuse for a mistake like and we will make sure that it doesn’t repeat in the future. We understand that you must be facing a shortage of pieces and thus to compensate, we are willing to wave off the transportation fee for the next 10 items. Hope you will accept our apology and reply to us back with your reaction.

Thanking you

Ralph Lauren
